On 19 June 2024, Vědafest 2024 was organised in Vítězné náměstí on Dejvice. It is a festival that presents science to the general public in a playful way. This year our laboratory participated for the first time and we humbly think that it was a success!
Our topics that you could see were actinomycetes as a source of antibiotics, how antibiotics fight against infections and how resistance is created. You could smell, see the colours of the actinomycetes, see really nice details of the colonies, play with chemistry models or see the differences between gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
We would like to thank everyone who came along, asked questions and made this experience really great for us! Special thanks to the team who were there.
