Our colleague and group leader from Vestec Gábina Balíková-Novotná participated in the conference and workshop “Recoding and the diversity of genetic decoding” on 13th – 18th May 2024 in Bantry, Ireland. The second scientific conference NIVB Meeting 2023 was held from 2 to 5 October 2023 in Kutná Hora. This year’s meeting built on the success of the first edition in 2022 and also brought together experts from the fields of virology and bacteriology, fostering collaboration and developing breakthrough research. On Friday 15th September, 12 lab members (mix Krč+ Vestec) went to Čerčany, either by train or by their own transport. Here, after the draw, the partners went with their canoes to Týnec nad Sázavou. The whole day there was a calm mood, between the crews you could get to know people who normally do
