On wednesday 18 June, our team participated at VědaFest 2025, at Praha Dejvice. Our aim was to explain what antibiotics from bacterial origin mean to broad public. New was that with our collegue Voojta we could provide excursion to deaf people (impacted). We were happy to participate in such event, created for broad public (kids, students, adults to elderly attendee). Hopefully our message was delivered…On Wednesday, June 18th, our team proudly took part in VědaFest 2025 in Praha Dejvice—one of the largest outdoor science festivals in the Czech Republic. Our mission? To help the public better understand what antibiotics of bacterial origin, about gaining the resistance etc. Throughout the day, we engaged with a wide range of visitors—from curious school kids and students to adults and seniors—explaining how certain bacteria actually help us fight infections. It was a fantastic opportunity to share science in an accessible and interactive way.
A special highlight this year was the opportunity to offer our presentations in sign language, thanks to our colleague Vojta, making the experience more inclusive for deaf and hard-of-hearing attendees.
We’re grateful to have been part of an event dedicated to science outreach for all ages and backgrounds. Hopefully, our message resonated—and sparked a little curiosity along the way! Have a look at the gallery
